Membership
Become a member of Bridport Art Society
The membership year runs from January to December, with fees due on the 1st January. New members are welcome to join at any point during the year – those who join later in the membership year (December) will have their membership carried forward to the following year.
Membership fees are reviewed and set annually. The price to join for 2024 is £20.
Non-members are invited to evening meetings. The charge is £3 per meeting and if they choose to join the Society on the day, the £3 will be deducted from the cost of the membership.
Some of the Benefits to BAS Members of joining the Society:
- Meetings and art demonstrations - free attendance; light refreshment included.
- Exhibitions - eligibility to enter Society exhibitions to showcase artwork with the opportunity for sales and awards. Invitation to the Preview for the Summer Exhibition
- Workshops - priority booking and discount price for Society organised workshops.
- Appraisal of artwork - free appraisal by an established artist at one or more of the evening meetings
- Discounts on materials - 15% discount on (full price) art materials bought at Arts and Crafts in East St., Bridport. 10% discount is offered at Frank Herring & Sons in High West St., Dorchester.
- Come and Paint group - an invitation to join in the friendly and informal painting session.
- BAS Newsletter - receive the full colour newsletter approximately every 2 months – keep up-to-date with Society activities and news.
- Promotion of Art events involving members - via BAS social media feeds and the Newsletter
- Not forgetting - the opportunity to meet and mix with local artists and like-minded people while partaking in (and helping at) some of the Society's events. For a more active role, apply to join our committee!

Alternatively, pop along to one of our meetings and bring your completed form along with your payment. Printed forms will be available.
